Statement by the Artists
Keep going – no matter what comes. Stop – no matter what comes.
It – the city. Close looks, tar, stone. A silent body strides through thought processes.
Throwing oneself into the world and being assailed. What is left is a language that
maintains a stubborn silence.

Statement by the Artist
His identity isn't fully known to anyone, and it gradually slips away in the labyrinth of the
"Mansions:" Young Mitch reports from no man’s land, the Chungking Mansions in Hong
Kong. In this ghetto at the heart of the world, both places and characters remain
temporary, spaces become possible territories, dream and reality are renegotiated again
and again. Mitch fights his way on the playing-field between the interests of the west and
Asia.

The man with no face, 2014
6'40''
HD video
Statement by the Artist
Based upon the novel “The Land at the End of the world” (“Os Cús de Judas”) written by the
Portuguese writer António Lobo Antunes, the video juxtaposes two narratives. On the one
hand we hear in voice-over the traumatic war recollections of a young man, whereas on the
other hand we see a male body trying to wash itself clean of a ubiquitous black substance.
The tension between these two narratives symbolically evokes the man´s attempt to wash
himself clean of his troublesome memories and to forget them.

Video Work
Infrastructures, 2014
23'00"
HD video, 5.1 Dolby surround
Statement by the Artist
The film "Infrastructures" is a passage through the landscape of infrastructures, through
which many people pass daily and where they spend some time. But there is no human
presence in the images. In their place, the forms, arrangements, objects, and structures
take center stage and become the main players in a world that is often only granted
fleeting consideration. "Infrastructures" consists of seven tracking shots and is designed
for projection onto a large wall or in a cinema with three-dimensional Dolby surround
sound.

Statement by the Artist
I stand there, inconsolable. Surrounded by feelings of fear and self-doubt. My weariness
and listlessness are inescapable. Formless and unyielding, they dominate me. Hours pass,
days fade away. I am ashamed. A docu-fictional approach to a state of fear of failure.

Statement by the Artist
