Vieux Port: 7 areas
The Jetée is comprised of a North and a
South side. Both will showcase well-known
international shipyards, the majority from
20 to 40 meters, ashore and on the water.
Onshore, you’ll also find engine-makers, various service
exhibitors and stands of the Yachting Festival partners Jeep
and Ethimo.
The Super Yachts Extension brings together
almost 40 of the largest yachts of the Vieux
Port. This year, it welcomes the Baglietto 46m,
and the largest sailing boat, Seawave
presented by the South African shipyard Southern Wind.
The part of the Super Yachts Extension located in the
Traversante (flying bridge) welcome the Tender area in water.
The Quai Max Laubeuf presents a variety of
sailboats and motorboats offshore as well as
many powerboats onshore. It also hosts the
Festival’s RIB Village with 80 boats.
The Palais, which is near the Yachting
Festival’s main entrance, includes the Palais
des Festivals and its beachfront access areas:
- Exhibitors from the decoration sector and presenting
furniture will also exhibit in the Palais.
- The Palais section welcomes three dedicated areas:
• The Services & Design area, inside the Palais, with
designers and architects
• The Tender Area at the show’s Croisette entrance
with a presentation of elegant day-boats used to
shuttle between the yacht and shore.
• The Toys Area, facing the sea, hosts the latest
nautical toys - becoming more and more successful in
the luxury yachting business
New this year, on the terrace of the Palais, visitors and
exhibitors can find a panoramic restaurant with an
exceptional view over the 530 boats and yachts exhibited
in the Vieux Port.
On the Jeep® stand, visitors will discover the New
Renegade, the compact SUV Jeep® available in 2 or
4 wheel drive, the Cherokee equipped with a 9 speed
gearbox, the Grand Cherokee, the flagship, and the
mythical Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited.

A spectrum of boats
from yesteryears and today will congregate in the port
and parade one by one in front of a ‘floating’ jury and
spectators. Boats will be drawn from three different
categories including vessels from before 1975, those
built between 1976 and 2000, and newer models built
after 2000.
Judging will examine every aspect from the quality of
restoration, design of the boat and conservation status,
with points for the history and rarity of the model, through
to the elegance of the crew and quality of the parade. The
jury will be composed of famous names from the yachting
industry, Yachting Festival partners and journalists, as well
as experts and enthusiasts in these day boats.
Following the procession, Yachting Festival invites participants,
partners and Riviera card holders to a cocktail reception
and award ceremony in the VIP Club from 7.00pm.
Partners of the Concours d’Elégance:
The VIP Club, set on the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals,
offers a privileged space to relax and enjoy champagne or
canapés with panoramic views of the yachts exhibited in
the Vieux Port.
The Riviera Card is valid for two people. The Riviera card
holders can book, upon payment, a table for the Yacht
Parade that takes place Saturday, September 12 on the
Carlton beach.
INCREASED RIB AREA
THE RIB VILLAGE
This year at the Yachting Festival,
all the inflatable boats and Rigid
Inflatable Boats (RIBs) gathered in
one space: The RIB Village. This area
has been introduced due to phenomenal growth of
those boats in the yachting industry. It includes an entire
pontoon directly connected to a dedicated land space,
on the Quai Max Laubeuf. This year the pontoon of the
RIB Village will be 12 metres longer than last year’s.
This year the RIB Village hosts around 80 boats with
a dozen measuring between 14 and 20m. This is a
reflection of changing tires, which are larger and more
luxurious.

FRED
An adventurer with a passion for precious stones and pearls, Fred Samuel spent his life roaming the world,

September 2016
Set on the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals, La
Terrasse, set to launch in 2016, will be the new hub
at the heart of the show, further confirming Cannes
Yachting Festival’s position within the luxury market.
La Terrasse will include an indoor exhibition area,
an outdoor events space, panoramic restaurant for
all visitors and exhibitors and the VIP Club, only for
members.
This new area will offer panoramic views overlooking
the 530 boats and yachts exhibited on the Vieux Port, on
the bay of Cannes, La Croisette, the palace hotels and
their private beaches.
The outdoor events space will host a wide programme
of activities throughout the Festival including the latest
product launches, art exhibitions and fashion shows,
adding to the overall luxury experience of the show.
For the first time, global luxury brands outside of the
yachting industry will be on offer including; cars, private
jets, fashion houses, watch makers, jewellers, real
estate, interior design and gastronomy.
A model stand can be viewed by prospective brands
interested at this year’s Festival.

The Cannes Yachting Festival is owned by the French Nautical
Industries Federation (F.I.N.) and organised by Reed Expositions
France (REF). The Festival is part of the Reed Expositions France
