E-Mail nicht zu entnehmen). Paypal warnt mich, dass
mein (nicht existentes) Konto soeben storniert wurde:
Ich solle mich doch bitte auf folgender Web-Seite mit
allen meinen Daten einloggen, um Schaden zu
vermeiden...
Natürlich sind all die oben geschilderten Zuschriften
nichts anderes als lästiger, meist betrügerischer,
manchmal Viren transportierender Werbemüll.
Meistens aber klingt Spam erfreulich.

Das geht so: Der vermeintliche Arbeitgeber, der
seine Arbeitnehmer so gern per Spam rekrutiert,
ist nicht nur Spam-mer, sondern auch Verkäu fe r.
Bei Ebay oder üb er in en eitw eilig rö ff n e ten
Shop verkauft er zu Knallerpreisen sonst teure
Waren oder Dienstleistungen (Laptops, Kameras,
aber auch Autos oder - als vermeintlicher Makler Mietwoh-nungen), für ie r assie rt, hne ie
Gegenleistung zu liefern. Der per Spam
angeworbene Strohmann nimmt die Zah-lungen
entgegen und gibt dem Geschäf t urch in e
deutsche Bankverbindung ein vermeintlich
seriös es esic h t. ach bzu g er erein barte n
Provision leitet er das Geld weiter und macht den
eigentlichen Betrüg er o n er egel nauffindbar.

meist aus dem Finanz- und Handels-sektor kommt
und besonders viele Kunden hat. Beliebteste Ziele
sind hier Banken (Postbank etc.),
Finanzdienstleister wie Paypal oder ShoppingSeiten wie Amazon und Ebay.
Immer geht es darum, sich Zugang zu Login-Daten
zu erschleichen.
Phishing-Mails enthalten in der Regel einen Link
hin zu einer Web-Seite, die der Seite des
betroffenen Unternehmens vordergrün dig ta rk

auffäl lig . enn ie dressen o lc h er ehörd en
oder großer Unternehmen gekapert werden, ist
dies oft sogar Teil der eingesetzten
Betrugsmasche. Ein nicht unerhebli-cher Teil des
Spam-Aufkommens ist also ganz stumpfes
"Backscattering", automatisierte Mitteilungen von
Mail-Systemen, die sich gegenseitig mit Dingen
beschicken, die niemand liest, aber die durch
Netzwerkbelastung und Datentransfers Kosten
verursachen.
