Note ¾ This HowTo is based on a router running default configuration. 1 Insert the two SIM-Cards Insert both SIM cards from your provider into the two SIM card slots. On C1500 series routers SIM card slot 1 is at the front side and slot 2 is inside the router. Important! ¾ Insert/remove SIM card only if router is not powered on. 2 Configuration of WWAN connection 2.1 Adjusting wwan0 SIM1 and SIM2 There are only a few adjustments neccessary to configure the wwan0 interface. Therefore navigate to Networking > Connection-Management > Connection-Manager, open the Advanced Functions and restart the Connection Manger by clicking the [Restart Connection-Manager] button or start Connection Manager using the [Start Connection-Manager] button. Now the router ist initiating the radiocommunication with the lower Power Up Delay. If this one fails or can’t be established the other one comes up and vice versa. If you want the second connection only stay a given time, you have to insert that time at Networking > Connection-Management > Connection-Manager > SIM2 > Advanced Connection Settings > Maximum Uptime. After expiration of that interval the connection will be interupted and primary connection tries to establish. If the primary one can’t be established the backup connection comes up again. 4 Finish configuration To finish the configuration procedure it is necessary to save all changes permanently. Therefore navigate to Permanent Save and press Save Config. Important! ¾ If this step is not performed, the settings are lost when the router is rebooted.
