STADION is the only multilingual periodical for the history of sport on an international level. It is not only
directed towards specialists in history but also towards scholars who represent the fields of anthropology,
eduaction, archaeology, ethnology and the social sciences and delve into sport as an interdisciplinary subject. The object is to provide a contribution toward a comprehensive and discerning understanding of sport,
