Reef Day and WWF snorkel safari
Participate in erecting a new stone reef in the water in front of Sønderborg Castle. Many stones where
removed from the grounds in the old days and used as house foundation. To provide better conditions to
fish and underwater plants, Sønderborg Kommune has begun to re-establish the reefs.
WWF and the local nature schools provide warm wetsuit’s, swim masks, fins and snorkels for people in all
ages and sizes. Have a day at the beach full of activities.

Date: Saturday 27th August 2016
Time: From 10 am to 3 pm.
Place: The beach at Sønderborg Castle, opposite Strandvej 1, 6400 Sønderborg
Remember: A towel, your swimsuit or trunks and god spirit
Parking: Parking area at the beach, alongside Strandvej.
About the weather: The event is carried through regardless the weather.

Nehmen Sie Teil an die Errichtung des neuen Steinriffs vor dem Schloss Sønderborg. Viele Steine wurden
früher vom Meeresgrund entfernt um als Grundmauer zu dienen. Sønderborg Kommune hat begonnen die
Steinriffe wieder zu errichten um Lebensraum für Fische und Meerespflanzen zu schaffen.
WWF und die örtlichen Naturschulen sorgen für Kälteschutzanzüge, Schwimm-masken, Schwimmflossen
und Schnorchel für Leute jedem Alter und Größe. Erleben Sie einen Tag am Strand voller Aktivitäten.
