Die Unterbringung von Hardware in 19" Schranksystemen ist
heute Stand der Technik. Die Anforderungen an die 19" Schränke
sind sehr komplex: Stabilität, Kapazität, Kühlung, Einbautiefen,
Kabel-Management und nicht zuletzt die Kompatibilität mit den
verschiedensten Gehäusestandards.
Lehmann´s 19" enclosures are designed to accommodate
state-of-the-art IT and network technology. The requirements on
19" enclosures are complex: stability, capacity, cooling, different
mounting depths, cable management, different standards and
dimensions of chassis. These all is a really challenge to manufacturers of 19" enclosures.
An oberster Stelle steht der praxisgerechte und wirtschaftliche
Einsatz. Unter praxisgerecht verstehen wir den unkomplizierten
Einbau und die sichere Unterbringung von Hardware. Dabei muss
jederzeit die Bedienbarkeit und Zugänglichkeit gewährleistet bleiben. In der Praxis sind oftmals heterogene Hardwaregehäusetypen
vorzufinden, die möglichst in einem Schranksystem harmonisch
und funktional untergebracht werden sollen. Wir bieten effiziente Lösungen für den gleichzeitigen Einbau von 19" Gehäusen mit
allen 19” Einbautiefen, Tower- und Desktopgehäusen.
Our priorities are to design enclosures which are both practical and economical. Practical means that all types of different
hardware components can be easily mounted in our enclosures
and that the security and accessibility is always guaranteed. Our
enclosures allow you to combinate 19", tower- and desktop
chassis in a efficiency and functional way.
The requirements in the practice often can be fulfilled only with
individual consultation and flexible solutions in combination with
experience and high product quality.

Server- und Netzwerkschränke für eine energieeffiziente RZ-Infrastruktur
Die RZ Pro Rack - Serie ist Lehmanns neueste Lösung für
Rechenzentren zur best möglichen Energie-Optimierung und
-Effizienz. Die Basis stellt der hochbelastbare Rahmen mit
einer statischen Tragfähigkeit von über 1,5 T. Hohe horizontale Luftdurchlässigkeit der Türen dank Hexagon-Lochblech
und dichte vertikale und horizontale Luftschottung im Rack
selbstsorgen dafür, dass die Kaltluft aus dem Doppelboden zu
100% der Hardware zur Kühlung der Prozesswärme geleitet
wird. Und soll die Kaltluft aus dem Doppelboden im Inneren
des Racks geführt werden, bietet das RZ Pro Rack die optimale Lösung: über ein spezielles Bodenmodul lässt sich der
Kaltluftstrom direkt vor die 1. 19” Ebene leiten und sogar
stufenlos regulieren. So kann Racks mit mehr Wärmelast
mehr Kaltluft zugeführt werden und andersherum. Die RZ Pro
Racks lassen sich für die Anforderungen jeder
Lösungsvariante im Rechenzentrum bis ins kleinste Detail
optimal konfigurieren.

RZ Pro Racks
Die Basis der RZ Pro Racks stellt der verschweißte und extrem stabile Stahlrahmen dar. Die statische Belastbarkeit beträgt 1,5 T. Dank
der umlaufenden Rund- und Langlochung bestehen vielfältige
Montagemöglichkeiten am Rahmen selbst. Dichtungen für Türen
und Seitenwände könnnen am Rahmen angebracht werden (bei
Türen als Standard) und so die Schutzklasse IP54 erreicht werden.

Cold Aisle Containment
Geringer Aufwand - großer Nutzen
Mit der Einhausung des Kaltganges wird der Kaltluftbereich
vom Warmluftbereich konsequent getrennt. Mit dieser
Methode wird einerseits die Leistung und Effizienz der Klimaanlage deutlich erhöht und andererseits der Energieaufwand
für die Kühlung gesenkt. Im Kaltgang entsteht ein über die
gesamte Schrankhöhe gleichmäßig verteilter Luftstrom. Die
Gefahr von Hotspots in den oberen Schrankbereichen aufgrund von Luftverwirbelungen aus dem Warmluftbereich
wird ausgeschlossen.
Auf diese Weise kann die Nutzungsdauer der bestehenden
Rechenzentrumsklimatisierung trotz steigender Wärmelasten

Small effort - huge effect
The cold aisle containment in a data center separates the cold
and warm areas from each other. A cold aisle increases the
cooling capacity to maximise the use of existing data centers.
It is also an cost-effective solution. The expences for cooling
the data center can be reduced. The cold aisle containment
ensures that the cold air flowing through the raised floor is
getting to the enclosures consinstely also to the top units.
The cold aisle containment avoids a recirculation of hot air to
the cold air zone over the top of the enclosures. Lehmann or
other enclosures can be upgraded with an cold aisle containment. We optimize the cable entries in the cabinets and seal
them with brush systems. Also the enclosures are sealed in an
optimum way with trims, blanking panels, brush and foam
systems. We are able to create customized solutions using
standard components.

Kaltgang-Einhausung
Die Kaltgang-Einhausung lässt sich an bestehende 19" Schränke
anderer Hersteller montieren.
Eine Komplettinstallation besteht aus Lehman-Schränken und der
Einhausung mit Türelement als Schiebetür für Gangbreiten von
90 cm bis 120 cm, Überdachungsmodulen aus Stahlprofilen und
Plexiglasdecke. Die 19" Schränke der Serie KG-Rack ermöglichen
kundenspezifische Anpassung und entsprechen den gängigen
Dimensionen und Normen. Darüber hinaus geht unser Zubehörprogramm weit hinaus über das Standard-Programm. Individuelle
Anpassungen in Bezug auf Kabelmanagement und energieeffizienter Schrankausbau mit Leitblechen, Blindplatten, Bürstensystemen und Schaumstoffdichtungen gehören dazu.
The cold aisle containment can be installed as an upgrade with
Lehmann and competitor enclosures.
A new installation contains Lehmann enclosures and the cold
aisle containment with a sliding door element for a width of
the aisle from 90 cm up to 120 cm, a top cover with cross
brasses and plexiglass. The 19" enclosures KG-Rack is designed
to the customers requirements, dimensions and modern standards. Customized cable management and energy-efficient
construction with blanking panels, brush systems, foam insulation are included.

End Racks im hinteren Schrankbereich. So werden eventuelle Wärmenester vermieden. Im
Dachmodul ist ein Anschlussstutzen für Abzugsrohre D=300 mm integriert. So kann die
Warmluft direkt dem Entlüftungssystems des
Gebäudes oder auch nach draußen abtransportiert werden. Auf diese Weise wird die

Durch die belüftete Lochblechtür strömt der Kaltluftstrom frontseitig vor die 1. 19” Ebene. Blade Servern oder anderen Hochleistungsrechnern wird so frontseitig gekühlte Luft im klimatisierten Data
Center oder Serverraum zugeführt. Die Warmluft im hinteren Bereich
des Racks wird mit der Absaugvorrichtung in der Rücktür durch
Hochleistungsventilatoren abgesaugt. Diese wird dann über das
Abzugsrohrsystem der Gebäudeabluft zugeführt oder direkt nach

auf der einen Seite und ein energiebewusster und effizienter

die direkte Rackkühlung modernster Stand der Technik. Der
SideCooler® erreicht bis zu 24 KW Kühlleistung ohne
Kondensatbildung bei 14°- 16° C Wassertemperatur.
Energie- und umweltbewusste Klimalösungen mit Nutzung
der freien Kühlung oder Kühlung mit Geothermie als nahezu
energieneutrale Kühllösung sind die neuen Wege in der RZKlimatisierung.
Increasing thermal loads in data centres and IT areas on
the one hand and the energy-conscious and efficient use of
climate control solutions on the other are the challenge for
today and tomorrow, the direct rack cooling embodying
the latest state of technology. The SideCooler® produces a

corresponds to about 3 - 4 ° C of energy demand. If the
ambient temperature in the data centre is 26°C instead of
20 - 22°C the economy of energy costs and the reduction of
the carbon dioxide emission is about 15%.

Vorteile der direkten Rack-Kühlung
• Es wird nicht der gesamte RZ-Raum bzw. Serverraum klimatisiert, sondern lediglich das Rack. So wird ein energieeffizientes Mikroklima im Rack erzeugt.
• Es erfolgt kaum Wärmeabgabe an die Umgebung der direkt
gekühlten Racks.
• Es können hohe Wärmelasten, wie sie beispielsweise beim
Einsatz von Blade-Centern entstehen, abgeführt werden, die
mit herkömmlicher Raumklimatisierung (z. B. über Doppelboden) nicht realisiert werden können.
• Wärmenester (Hotspots) werden vermieden.
• Es herrscht ein gleichmäßig verteilter Luftstrom im Rack mit
konsequenter Trennung von Zu- und Abluft, bzw. Kalt- und
Warmluft in komplett geschlossenen Racks.
• Ermöglicht die optimale Nutzung der freien Kühlung durch
die Verwendung von hohen Kaltwasser-Vorlauftemperaturen.

Advantages of the direct rack cooling system
• No climate control in the whole data processing resp.

Kaltwassererzeuger / Kaltwassersätze für Innenaufstellung
Kaltwassererzeuger / Kaltwassersätze oder auch Rückkühlanlagen genannt, versorgen direkt gekühlte Racks mit Kaltwasser. Die Innenaufstellung hat den Vorteil, dass auf das
Frostschutzmittel Gykol verzichtet werden kann. Außerdem
stellt die Innenaufstellung eine leicht umziehbare Systemlösung dar.

Installation
Water chillers / cold water units also called reciprocator chillers provide directly cooled racks with cold water.The advantage of the indoor installation is that the antifreezing agent
glycol will not be necessary. And in addition the indoor solution facilitates relocation.
Kaltwassererzeuger / Kaltwassersätze für Außenaufstellung

Installation
Reciprocator chillers for outdoor installation are used in case
of great distances between cold water unit and SideCooler®
or in case of restricted space within the premises. The reciprocator chiller systems are sized in accordance with the refrigerating capacity for the SideCoolers®.

CoolManager® - water transfer station
Grundsätzlich wird der SideCooler® mit Kühlwasser von
einem Kaltwassersatzes gespeist (separat plaziert, ausschließlich für den Betrieb des SideCooler® ausgelegt).
In general the cool water supply for the SideCooler® is
coming from the cold water unit (separately placed, exclusively designed for the operation of the SideCooler®).
Selbstverständlich besteht die Möglichkeit der Nutzung eines
Kaltwassersatzes der vorhandenen Gebäudetechnik (zum
Beispiel Nutzung des Kaltwassersatz der vorhandenen Gebäudeklimatisierung).
Naturally there is also a possibility to utilize a reciprocator
chiller unit of the existing building technology (e.g. utilization
of the cold water unit of the existing building climate
control).
Im Falle der Nutzung eines vorhandenen bauseitigen Kaltwassersatzes der Gebäudetechnik ist ein sogenannter
CoolManager® (Wasser-Transfer-Station) für die richtige
Menge und Temperierung des Kühlwassers erforderlich.

SideCooler® Rack - Gerätefunktion

SideCooler® Rack - Mode of Operation of the System
Über die ausgetauschte Rack-Seitenverkleidung wird gekühlte Zuluft vor die Server /
Bladecenter in das geschlossene Rack eingeblasen. Die von der Umluft aufgenommene
Prozesswärme wird an der Rack-Rückseite vom SideCooler® angesaugt.
Die 100% sensible Kühlung (Standardauslegung) der Umluft erfolgt über den geregelten
Kaltwasser-Wärmetauscher und wird von 5 Ventilatoren als Zuluft über die gesamte Rackhöhe wieder eingeblasen.
Das asymmetrische Gehäuse zum seitlichen Rackanbau mittels Adaptermodul gewährleistet
sowohl eine optimale Luftführung als auch einen luftseitig dichten Anschluss.
Die besondere Gehäuseform ermöglicht trotz einer Einzelgerätebreite von 300 mm bei der
Aufstellung von zwei Geräten zwischen den Racks nur eine effektive Breite von 370 mm.
Die von außen lösbare Verriegelung mit Adapterplatte und separatem Sockel ermöglichen
das Herausziehen des Gerätes um 300 mm zur Bedienseite hin, alle eingebauten Komponenten sind dann frei zugänglich (z.B. für Wärmetauscher-Reinigung).
Kühlmedium und elektrische Anschluss- und Verbindungsleitungen sind wahlweise von
oben oder unten anschließbar, Kühlmediumzufuhr über sichere, altersbeständige Hochdruck - Flexschläuche.
Chilled supply air is blown into the closed rack in front of the server / blade center
through the replaced side panel. The process heat absorbed by the circulating air is sucked
by the SideCooler® at the rear panel of the rack.
The 100% sensitive cooling (standard design) of the circulating air is performed by means
of the controlled chilled water-heat exchanger flowing back by means of 5 fan modules
covering the complete rack height.
The assymetrical housing designed to be mounted on the side of the rack by means of an
adapter module ensures an optimum air flow and downstream air insulation.
The special shape of the housing ensures an effective width of only 370 mm when installing two equipments between the racks despite a width of 300 mm of one single equipment. The locking device with adapter module and separate base to be opened from outside allows moving of the equipment by 300 mm towards the operator side which ensures
free access to all components installed (for example for cleaning the heat exchanger).
The cooling media as well as electrical lines can be connected optionally top-down or
bottom-up. Supply of the cooling medium by means of safe, non-ageing, flexible highpressure hoses.

Climate Controlled 19” Racks
Der 19” Klimaschrank mit integrierter Kühltechnik über
ein Dachklimagerät ermöglicht den Schrankeinsatz nach dem
Prinzip Plug & Play. Der direkt klimatisierte 19” Schrank mit
Luft-Wasser-Wärmetauscher ist eine Splitt-Lösung, bei der
das Kühlmedium Wasser in einer Indoor- oder Outdoor-Rückkühlanlage aufbereitet wird. Die gesteuerte Luftführung
sorgt für einen optimalen Innenkreislauf. Erwärmte Luft wird
effektiv nach außen abtransportiert. Der Kaltluftstrom wird
zur Kühlung der Hardware gezielt gelenkt. Diese systematisierte Kühltechnik sorgt für optimale Kühlprozesse und
leistet einen entscheidenden Beitrag zu einer erhöhten
Ausfallsicherheit und Funktionalität der Hardware.
The Climate Controlled 19” Rack with an integrated roofmounted cooling unit is a plug & play solution. The direct
climate controlled 19” rack with an air-water-heat exchanger
is a splitt solution with an indoor or outdoor chiller. Targeted
air routing allows an effective internal air circulation. The
heated air is extracted centrally. Air exhaust occurs targeted
for effective hardware cooling. This climate control system is
an important circuit for the reliability and functionality of the
hardware.

Einsatzgebiete sind vielfältig: belastete Produktionsumgebung,
Lagerhallen und Werkstätten, sensible Laborumgebung,
Aufstellung im Innen und Außenbreich usw. Lieferbar in der
Ausführung aus Stahlblech mit Pulverbeschichtung beziehungsweise aus Edelstahl pulverbeschichtet oder gebürstet.
Optimale aktive Belüftung für die IT-Hardware dank frontseitig
einblasender und rückwärtig ausblasender Ventilatoren.
Die Ausführung des 19” DS CAB Akustik mit schalldämmendem
Akustikschaum und extra leisen Ventilatoren ist ideal zur
Reduzierung des Hardware-Lärms auf ein Minimum.
The 19” DS CAB with the high protection class IP54 protects
the hardware from the amount of dust and splashed water. The
fields of application are various: industrial and production environment, warehouses, laboratories, indoor and outdoor deployment etc. It is available in powdercoated steel or high-grade
steel also powdercoated or brushed.
The active cooling is specialized for IT-hardware thanks cooling
fans in the front and exhausting fans in the rear door.
The 19” DS CAB Acoustic with acoustic foam and low noise fans
inside is perfect for the reduction of hardware-noise to a minimum.

The 19” DS CAB is available in 12 and 25 U and with the
depth of 800 or 900mm. The front-door is glassed and the rear
is a solid door, both lockable. The fans in the bottom blow the
air inside and the fans in the rear door exhaust the hot air out
of the cabinet. It is possible to mount each three fans. For the
blowing in fans a dust protection is optional available. The 19”
extrusions are adjustable in depth and the maximum mountable
depth is 650 and 750 mm. The cable inlets are in the bottom
cover and in the plinth. The 19” DS CAB Acoustic is insulated
with acoustic foam for noise reduction. It has also very low
noise fans. The noise reduction with the 19” DS CAB Acoustic is
about 15 dB.
Der 19” DS CAB gibt es in den Ausführungen mit 12 und 25 HE
und den Tiefen von 800 und 900 mm. Vorne ist eine Sichttür und hinten eine Volltür mit Dreipunktverriegelung und abschließbarem
Drehhebelgriff. Die einblasenden Ventilatoren sind im Bodenmodul
und die ausblasenden in der Rücktür angeordnet. Es lassen sich
jeweils bis zu drei einblasende und ausblasende Ventlilatoren montieren. Gegebenfalls können bei den einblasenden Ventilatoren
Staubfilter angebracht werden. Die 19” Lochwinkel sind tiefenvverstellbar und haben eine maximale Einbtiefe von 650 bzw. 750 mm.
Der Kabeleinlass ist im Bodenmodul und im Sockel. Das 19” DS CAB
Akustik ist innen mit schalldämmendem Akustikschaum ausgekleidet
und hat sehr leise Ventilatoren. Die Geräuschminderung durch den
19” DS CAB Akustik beträgt ca. 15 dB.

höherer Lärmentwicklung verbunden, weil auch die Anforderungen an Kühlung und aktive Belüftung steigen. 19” Schränke
stehen nicht immer in Serverräumen und Rechenzentren, sondern
oft auch in Büroumgebungen, Seminar- und Konferenzräumen
u. ä. Der hohe Lärmpegel lässt sich jedoch mit dem Einsatz von
schallgedämmten 19” Akustikschränken vermeiden.
Dank der Innenauskleidung mit schallisolierendem und -schluckendem Akustikschaum sowie den laufruhigen und unter 30 dB(A)
leisen Ventilatoren wird Hardwarelärm stark reduziert. Für die
Zuluft sorgen im Bodenmodul zwei einblasende und für die

Rücktür einzubauen, so dass die Heißluft aus den Rechnerlüftern
auf direktem Wege nach außen transportiert wird.

The hardware and the enclosures are not always in a separated
room (server room or data centre). Often the noisy hardware is
located in offices, seminar or conference rooms etc.
This is a typical situation where our 19" Acoustic Enclosures
with noise reduction are very helpful. Our 19" Acoustic
Enclosures have an inlay with acoustic foam and low noise fans
(<30 dB(A)). The cooling system at the 19" Acoustic Enclosures
includes two fans in the top and also two fans in the bottom
cover. It is always possible to upgrade the fans. The fans also can
be located very individual. For example the best cooling results
are when the fans are mounted in the rear door directly behind
the fan of the computers.

Die aktive Belüftung der Akustikschränke erfolgt über einblasende
Ventilatoren im Bodenmodul. Frontseitig wird der Kaltluftstrom an die
frontsaugenden Server geleitet.

Silent Plus ist die neue Generation der schallgedämmten 19”
Akustikschränke. Die Hauptmerkmale sind mehr horizontaler
Luftdurchsatz für die Kühlung und bessere Lärmreduzierung
mittels innenliegender und extra leiser Ventilatoren in der Frontund Rücktür.
Weitaus höhere Wärmelasten können abgeführt werden, als das
mit schallgedämmten 19” Schränken bisher möglich war.
Der Silent Plus ist hervorragend geeignet für Büro-, Server-,
Konferenz- und Schulungsräume und alle Räume, in denen laute
Hardware als störend emfpunden wird.
Silent Plus is the new generation of 19” enclosures with noise
insulation. The main characteristics of the Silent Plus are more
horizontal airflow and better noise reduction with extra low noise
fans, which are inside the enclosure in the front and rear door.
More heat can be exhausted, than with standard insulated enclosures in the past.
The Silent Plus is best for offices, serverrooms, conference and
seminar rooms and all rooms with noisy hardware, where people
have to work and stay.

Kühle Außenluft wird mittels inneliegender und einblasender
Ventilatoren vor die frontsaugenden Server eingeblasen. Die dabei
entstehende Prozesswärme wird durch Ventilatoren in der Rücktür
nach draußen ausgeblasen. Dabei sind die Ventilator-Module in den
Türen mit hochwertigem und schallisolierendem Akustikschaum ausgekleidet.

NPM - Schrank- und Stromüberwachung
NPM Power and Rack Monitoring
Der NPM (Network Power Manager) überwacht Strom, Temperatur, Feuchtigkeit, Türkontakt, Wassereinbruch im IT-Schrank
und meldet Abweichungen. Dazu lässt sich der Strom über IP für
jede Steckdose einzeln schalten und ermöglicht somit den Neustart von Servern aus der Ferne. Die mitgelieferte Software hat
umfangreiche und sinnvolle Features wie Passwortschutz, Einzelbenennung und Gruppierungen, Anzeige des gesamten Systems
bei mehreren NPM, Festlegung der Parameter mit Ober- und
Untergrenzen, Warnmeldefunktionen usw. Ebenso wird die Amperzahl für jede einzelne Steckdose angezeigt. So lässt sich beispielweise die Stromabnahme für jeden Server überwachen.
The NPM (Network Power Manager) controls power, temperature, humidity, door open, water logging in IT enclosures and
sends alarm messages. It switches the power on/off remote over
IP for each socket and allows rebooting of servers for example.
The software included shows important informations and has
useful features for managing the NPM like password protection,
setting of parameters and limits, displays the whole system etc. It
shows also the load current for every single socket and also the
units.

RMS 200 TH
Der RMS 200 TH ermöglicht die Erfassung von bis zu 4 Temperaturen und 4 Luftfeuchten. Kombisensoren erlauben die Erfassung beider Werte zeitgleich. Dank intelligenter Protokolle
können die Sensoren ohne Neujustierung des Gerätes bis zu
24 m entfernt sein. Der RMS 200 TH verfügt über eine EthernetSchnittstelle und kann darüber mit einem Switch, HUB oder
DSL-Router verbunden werden. Gesteuert wird er über einen
integrierten Webserver, der die intuitive Konfiguration aller
Mess- und Protokollfunktionen und eine Verwaltung mehrerer Benutzer mit unterschiedlichen Zugriffsrechten erlaubt.
Die IP-Adresse für den RMS 200 TH wird fest vergeben oder
dynamisch über einen DHCP-Server bezogen.
Bei Erreichen von kritischen Schwellwerten kann der RMS
200 TH selbstständig einen Alarm auslösen. Über SNMP wird
ein Trap direkt an eine Netzwerkmanagement - Konsole versendet. In kleineren Umgebungen kann mit Hilfe der beiliegenden Software daraus kostenlos eine Konvertierung als
SMS erfolgen. Diese SMS kann über die Infratec SMS-Alert
Plattform (www.sms-alert.biz) an ein beliebiges Mobiltelefon weltweit versendet werden. Alternativ kann der RMS 200 TH
auch direkt eine E-Mail versenden. Auf Wunsch kann der
RMS 200 TH Messdaten kontinuierlich erfassen und als Diagramm darstellen.

The RackMaster is an efficiency solution for 19” racks and
allows the network independend access with KVM (=keyboard,
video, mouse) to your computers.
Dabei kann der RackMaster an jeden beliebigen KVM-Switch oder
in der Ausführung mit integriertem und kaskadierfähigen 8-/16Port-KVM-Switch direkt an die Rechner angeschlossen werden.
The RackMaster can be connected with every KVM switch. The
version of the RackMaster with integrated and cascadable 8/16
port KVM switch can be connect directly to each computer.
Das Umschalten zwischen den Rechnern erfolgt über Druckknöpfe, Tastatur-Hotkey oder über das OSD-Menü.
To switch between the computers use the buttons, hot keys on
the keyboard or the OSD menue.
