Voici quelques photos qu'il a prises: Paul is bigger than Thierry. He likes cakes very much. Mike is not as beautiful as Thierry. He doesn't find friends easily. Sally is the most beautiful girl in the world. http://www.anglaisfacile.com/cgi2/myexam/print.php?monsite=af 11/8/2012 Comparer - Thierry en Angleterre 4 Page 2 of 7 Cliquez ici pour écouter cette leçon: Aide! 2 moyens de décrire des personnes. a) Paul is bigger than Thierry. He likes cakes very much. b) Mike is not as beautiful as Thierry. He doesn't find friends easily. Exemple: Paul is bigger than Thierry. He likes cakes very much. Pourquoi? Quand l'adjectif ne comporte qu'UNE syllabe et qu'il se termine par CONSONNE-VOYELLE-CONSONNE, ON DOUBLE LA CONSONNE FINALE BIG : respecte cette règle => BIGGER SMART: il se termine par VCC; il ne respecte pas cette règle => SMARTER http://www.anglaisfacile.com/cgi2/myexam/print.php?monsite=af 11/8/2012 Comparer - Thierry en Angleterre 4 Page 3 of 7 A noter que cette règle fonctionne aussi pour le présent progressif: He is siTTing MAIS: He is helping. ATTENTION! Pour les adjectifs longs (plus de 2 syllabes), on utilise MORE + ADJ + THAN A Rolls Royce is more comfortable than a Mini. Mike is not as beautiful as Thierry. He doesn't find friends easily. Il n'y a pas d'exception, c'est facile à utiliser. http://www.anglaisfacile.com/cgi2/myexam/print.php?monsite=af 11/8/2012 Comparer - Thierry en Angleterre 4 Page 4 of 7 Sally is the most beautiful girl in the world. ADJECTIFS LONGS (plus de 2 syllabes): the most + ADJECTIF + NOM + complément introduit par OF ou IN ex: Dave is the most intelligent pupil of the school. ADJECTIFS COURTS (1 à 2 syllabes): the + ADJECTIF - EST + complément introduit par OF ou IN ex: This car is the nicest car of our shop.
