The Telekom Playgrounds start their season finale in Berlin earlier than usual and boy, do they
have big names in their bag: Headliners are no one less than INCUBUS. The Californians will be
supported by two more top acts soon to be announced. The street contest features international
top skaters like Phil Zwijsen (BEL) and Kelvin Hoefler Rodriguez (BRA) for Germanys only World
Cup Skateboarding Event. On the BMX side, we can look forward to spectacular performances by
Brett Banasiewicz (USA) and Alex Coleborn (UK). For tickets and more information check out:

The most successful Hamburg event in Telekom Playgrounds history is hardly over, when exciting news
keep coming in for this season´s last show in Berlin. INCUBUS will headline the event on November 20th
and complete the German leg of their European tour. Two more top acts are about to join the Californian
Alternative-Combo on the Velodroms’ festival stage, they will be announced soon .
„If success is a drug, than Incubus is an efficient addict” says singer and front man Brandon Boyd himself,
and he may so, for it´s not exaggerated. In more than 16 years Incubus became an important part of the
alternative music elite through their own mixture of funk, metal, hip hop and alternative rock. The guys sold
more than 15 Mil. albums and just released their 6th album after a 5-year-break (Germany #5. USA #2).
While touring through Europe they consider the Telekom Playgrounds as one of the few stops of their
German winter tour.

Since their debut S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (1997), the album „A Crow Left Of The Murder“ (2004) is their
commercially most successful album, which made it into the Top 10 not only in the US but also in the UK
and Germany. The successor „Light Grenades“ made it even at #1 in the US.
If the band´s not touring on their own, they make themselves comfortable being welcomed guests on all
festivals around the globe.
More promising news comes from the rider´s front: In the category Street, both title defender from last
year are returning - Phil Zwijsen (Skateboard) and Brett Banasiewicz (BMX)! On top, Brazilian
skateboard pros Kelvin Hoefler Rodriguez and Rodolfo Ramos are expected as well.
Confirmed is also the German BMX runner up 2010, Bruno Hoffman and the currently successful Alex
Coleborn (UK).
To keep the high level of action for the world’s best skateboarder and BMX rider, the set up will be entirely
reconstructed with a much bigger street track and better lines for both sports. Therefore, unfortunately,
there is no more room for the halfpipe and the vert contests. But be sure that the boys will turn up their trick
repertoire by a big notch and leave nobody unsatisfied.
