Minimum Weight Certificate Expanded Measurement Uncertainty U= U0 0.018292439 + C 3.70E-05 x l Load Value "l" represents the display at various net loads Example calculated measurement uncertainty values at different net weight displays: Net Weight Display Measurement Uncertainty 0.4 g 4g 40 g 400 g 4000 g 0.02 g 0.02 g 0.02 g 0.03 g 0.17 g 4.58 % 0.46 % 0.05 % 0.01 % 0.00 % Explanation of minimum weight table: The net weight display values shown in the following table are minimum weight values. At these values the measurement uncertainty of the instrument, multiplied with a safety factor of 1, 2, 3, or 5, is equal or lower than the required weighing tolerance. Select the minimum weight value at the intersection of the Required Tolerance (0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 5%) on the vertical axis and the desired Safety Factor (1, 2, 3, 5) on the horizontal axis. The measurement uncertainty values come from the preceding calibration certificate and are based on the expansion factor k=2, i.e. the value of the measurand lies within the assigned range of values with a probability of 95%. If “N/A” is shown above, no appropriate value could be calculated. 2. For multirange and multi-interval devices, the display values in the above table apply to the smallest weighing range. 3.
