Playoffs/Séries éliminatoires
Four teams with best winning percentage qualify for postseason. Top seed plays
fourth seed and second seed plays third seed in best-of-five series. Winners meet
in best-of-five championship series..
Roster Rules/Règles pour l’alignement
The roster limit for a Can-Am League club is 22 players. An additional
two players may be on the disabled list during the regular season. Of those
22 players, a minimum of five must be rookies and a maximum of four may
be veterans. The remaining players will be designated limited service (LS)
players and of those LS players only six (6) may be LS-4.
During the pre-season, a maximum of 27 players may be under contract
at any one time without regard to classification. The 22 active player roster
must be met two days before the start of the regular season.
Definitions
Year of Service: A year of service for Can-Am League players is 75 official at
bats or more in a National Association or independent league or leagues, or
30 innings or more pitched in a National Association or independent league
or leagues, in any season prior to the present calendar year. For independent
and short season/rookie league service, the first two years of service equals
one National Association year. For foreign players, the classification and salary level will be determined by the league office.
Rookie: A player with less than one year of service.
LS-1: A player with less than two years of service.
LS-2: A player with less than three years of service.
LS-3: A player with less than four years of service.
LS-4: A player with less than five years of service. 1 of the 6 LS-4s may be an LS-5.
LS-5: A player with less than 6 years of service.
Veteran: A player with six or more years of service. If a player has six or
more years of service but has not reached the age of 26 by September 1 of
that season, he will be considered an LS-4. If he has not reached the age of
24 by September 1 of that season, he will be considered an LS-3.
Official Baseball: Rawlings.

Field Manager/Gérant Steve Shirley
Former major-league hurler and two-time American Association Manager of the Year Steve Shirley will be the Sussex
County Miners’ manager during the club’s inaugural season.
The native of San Francisco spent the previous eight seasons with Sioux Falls of the American Association. In 2010, he
earned the league’s Manager of the Year honors after leading the
squad to a league-best 63-33 mark and a berth in the league

Champions d’Ottawa - Hal Lanier
32
formation.
Northern : en 1999, à titre d’instructeur des lanceurs avec les Dukes de Duluth-Superior;

Reaching the big leagues less than one year after pitching for the
Jackals in 2004, Breslow is one of the most dependable relievers in the
majors. The Yale graduate was a key cog in the Red Sox’ championship
run in 2013, serving as the team’s primary setup man for closer Koji Uehara while registering a 1.81 ERA and limiting opposing hitters to a .228
average. Prior to Boston, the native of Connecticut pitched for six other
big league clubs, and had also put in another stint for the Sox in 2006.

Signed by Seattle in 2011, Delabar quickly rose through the club’s
minor-league system, reaching the majors in September of that year.
After a solid 2012 campaign with the Mariners and Toronto, Delabar had
an even better 2013 for the Blue Jays, capped off by an appearance at
the year’s All-Star Game which saw him strike out the National League’s
reigning batting champion, San Francisco’s Buster Posey. Slowed by
injury in 2014, he split the season between the majors and Triple-A.

leagues when he worked the Baltimore-Cleveland game at Camden
Yards on June 24, 2013. After his stint in the Can-Am League, Little
moved to affiliated baseball, where he quickly worked his way up the
ladder through the Gulf Coast (Rookie), Appalachian (Rookie), South
Atlantic (A), Carolina (A) and Southern (AA) Leagues, before reaching
the Triple-A International League in 2011.
Umpire Adam Hamari, 2006
Hamari made his big-league umpiring debut just a day after fellow CanAm League alum Will Little, manning second base at the Cubs-Brewers
game at Miller Park on June 25, 2013. He had previously progressed
through the minors, working in the Midwest League (A), California
League (A), Florida State League (A), Southern League (AA) and Eastern
League (AA). In 2011, Hamari received his first AAA assignment, as he
began working in the Triple-A International League. He spent all of 2011
and 2012 as a full-time International League umpire.
