Das neue Studioalbum der "Queen Of Di Dancehall" enthält eine illustre Gästeschar, bestehend aus der
britischen Sängerin und Rapperin Estelle, Ali Campbell von UB40, dem Jamaika Star des Lovers Rock, Beres
Hammond und nicht zuletzt der US-Rapper Flo Rida. Marion Hall, besser bekannt als Lady Saw, feiert ihr 25jähriges Jubiläum im Musikgeschäft. Bereits mit 15 Jahren stand sie auf der Bühne, coverte Chaka Khan, um
anschließend mit Soundsystems zu arbeiten. Dort erhielt sie auch den Künstlernamen Lady Saw, in
Anlehnung an den damals populären Sänger Tenor Saw ("Ring The Alarm"). Das besondere ihres Stils war,
das Lady Saw die erste Frau in der männerdominierten Gesangskultur Jamaikas war, die sexuelle Gedanken
und Wünsche auf eine absolut unmissverständliche und direkte Weise ausdrückte und damit vielen Frauen
aus der Seele sprach - sie wurde so zur Begründerin des "Bad Gyal"-Images. Bis heute hat die Künstlerin
inklusive ded neuen Longplayers "Alter Ego" acht Studioalben und über 250 Singles aufgenommen,
darunter viele spannende Duette mit den großen Stars des Dancehall-Reggae und US-Hip Hop. Sie gehört
zu den ganz Großen des Genres und ihren Status als 'Queen Of Di Dancehall' wurde nochmals getoppt, als
sie die Fans zu "Muma Saw", zur Mutter aller weiblichen Dancehall-Artists, erklärten - eine Ehre, die vor ihr
nur Sister Nancy ("Bam Bam") als Patronin der Raggamuffin-Girls zuteil wurde.
