A
vec le succès rencontré par l'édition 2011 des « Voiles
de Saint-Barth » on peut aujourd'hui affirmer que cet
exceptionnel évènement nautique s'insère parfaitement
dans la stratégie d'ensemble de développement maitrisé de l'île
et contribue à véhiculer à l'extérieur l'image d'une destination
singulière qui a su harmoniser ses choix économiques avec son
authenticité, sa qualité de vie et les valeurs humaines de sa
population.
Les organisateurs ont fait preuve d'un professionnalisme exemplaire et les participants comme les spectateurs et
les professionnels du tourisme reconnaissent unanimement
l'importance de cette belle manifestation.
La barre a été placée très haute mais nous sommes
certains que « l'équipe des Voiles » est suffisamment motivée,
rodée et organisée pour garantir le succès de l'édition 2012.
Il nous faut garder cette harmonie et cette qualité d'accueil, qui
caractérisent notre destination en continuant à cultiver « l'art
d'être une île » et à promouvoir les sports nautiques tout
en respectant le principe qui veut que : « l'Esprit sportif, et
l'authenticité locale, ça compte ! » bien plus que tout le reste.
La Collectivité continuera à accompagner « Les Voiles de
Saint-Barth » pour les années à venir et à accueillir comme il
se doit tous les visiteurs qui se rendront sur l'île pour cette
occasion. Tous les marins du monde qui souhaitent partager ce
grand moment avec nous seront les bienvenus.
L
es Voiles de Saint-Barth, it’s growing momentum as a major
event in St.Barth, and its success in attracting satisfied
participants are of special interest to the Collectivity of
St. Barthelemy. The island of St. Barthelemy is thoughtfully
contending with its economic, environmental and cultural development, a fragile formula for such a small and internationally
recognized island. The Collectivity recognizes that the development
of Les Voiles de Saint-Barth is aligned with the very vision that
St.Barth has for itself as it grows economically, through the marine
industry, while maintaining steadfastly the traditions, integrity,
humanity, and integral charm inherent in St.Barth.
The organizing Committee of Les Voiles de Saint-Barth,
through its exemplary work and high standards as well as the
enthusiasm, effort and sportsmanship of the gracious yacht participants have caught the attention of the international yachting and
tourist media who concur in the applause of this fledgling event.
Despite the impressive precedent of the successful first 2 editions,
I am certain that Les Voiles de Saint-Barth team has the competence, motivation and organizational discipline to push the bar even
higher in 2012. It is with pleasure that we recognize that this
nautical event is in keeping with the most important values of life
here in St.Barth ; the encouragement of a competitive, intrepid
spirit all while maintaining a harmony with the local elements.

Les VOILES DE SAINT-BARTH seront organisés à Saint Barthélemy du 2 au 7 AVRIL
2012 par le Saint Barth Yacht Club, affilié à la Fédération Française de Voile et à la
Caribbean Sailing Association.

- Les règles de course à la voile de l'ISAF, 2009-2012
- Les prescriptions de Fédération Française de Voile

- Règle de protection de l'environnement : un bateau ne doit jeter aucun détritus dans
l'eau. Des pénalités seront appliquées en cas de non respect.

Les yachts seront répartis par groupe :
- Maxi /CSA Rating
- Spinnaker 1 et 2 / CSA Rating > 0,770 (spi, asy, both)
- Non-Spinnaker 1 et 2 /CSA Rating > 0,770 (jib, pol, sec)
- Classic / Classic Simplified CSA Rating > 0,800
- Racing-Multihull / Multi2000 > 1,000
Au vu du nombre d'inscriptions dans chaque groupe, le Comité d'Organisation se
réserve le droit de modifier les groupes ou d'en créer à sa discrétion.

- The regulations of The French Federation of sailing
- The CSA rules and Minimum Safety Requirements

- Environmental rule: None of the boats are allowed to throw any waste on water.
Penalty will be applied in case of deviation.
3 - ADVERTIZING
Cette manifestation est classée en catégorie C selon l'article 20 des RCV de l'ISAF. Le
paragraphe (d) (i) de la règle 20.3.1 s'appliquera lui aussi. A l'initiative de l'organisation il
peut être demandé de porter sur le bateau un numéro d'identifiant et/ou une publicité
du sponsor de la manifestation en accord avec la règle ISAF 20.3.

“LES VOILES DE SAINT-BARTH”, organized by the St Barth Yacht Club in affiliation with
the French Federation of Sailing and the Caribbean Sailing Association, will take place
from 2 to 7 of APRIL 2012 on the island of Saint Barthelemy.
The event will be Category “C” as specified in the RRS (2009-2012). Boats may be
required to display advertizing provided by the organizing authority as permitted by ISAF
Regulation 20.3. (d)(i).

the name and the image for any text, photograph or video footage of either themselves
or the boat they are sailing during the event to be published or broadcast in any media
whatsoever (including but not limited to Press and TV advertisements or Internet), for
either editorial or advertising purposes or to be used in press information; in this
respect, competitors' names and any biographical material of themselves may also be
used or reproduced in any way known. As part of the registration process, each
individual participating crew member will be required to sign a declaration accepting this
waiver of rights.

The second edition of LES VOILES DE SAINT-BARTH 2011 was able to attain their goal of offering sunshine,
steady prevailing winds, a relaxing lay day, great ambiance on the dock and was delighted to host 53 boats.
The precedent now established, and with the continued generous and committed support of our sponsors, the
Collectivity of St. Barthelemy, the Saint Barth Yacht Club, and all of our local volunteers, we hope to be a fixture on the
Caribbean sailing calendar and an event not to be missed !!
LES VOILES DE SAINT-BARTH 2012 is looking towards the horizon and aims to expand and refine our organization on
