In addition, the ISDS brings dermasurgeons together, so they may exchange innovative techniques and work for standardization and improvement of training programs in dermatologic surgery. Scientific meetings of the ISDS are held yearly. These world congresses are attended by physicians from as many as 52 countries. The sharing of new surgical procedures, research and statistics is essential in the search for a more effective way to treat skin conditions. Meetings are designed to allow both the beginning and the more advanced surgeon to benefit. A membership certificate will be issued after a Fellow of the ISDS attends two (2) annual meetings.
