Our lunch follows our Oct 22 presentation and press conference of the annual AmCham-Bain Barometer on the French
investment climate ("Le moral des investisseurs americains en France"). Ms. Idrac, one of whose top priorities is to
enhance France's international competitiveness, will explain France's efforts to improve the investment and trade
environment and respond to the questions and problems raised in the Barometer .
Biography:
Prior to her appointment this year as Minister of Trade (Commerce Exterieur) Anne-Marie Idrac was president of the
SNCF (2006-08) and President of the RATP (2002-06). She has held several elective offices including Conseiller
Regional for Ile-de-France (98-02), and Deputy for Yvelines (97-02). She has also served as Minister of Transport, and
in many high functions of the UDF party, including Secretary General. She is a graduate of Science Po and ENA and
will speak in French.
