Main duties include but are not limited to the following: • Marine and naval engineers design and
develop marine vessels and floating structures and associated marine power plants, propulsion
systems and related systems and equipment and oversee the building, maintenance and repair of
vessels and marine systems. • Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design
(CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications • Prepare contract documents and evaluate
tenders for industrial construction or maintenance • Supervise technicians, technologists and other
engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates. Experience/Requirement:
• A bachelor's degree in marine engineering required. • A master's degree or doctorate is an asset. •
Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve
engineering drawings and reports, and to practice as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) • At least 3-5
years of relevant experience required. • Relevant supervisory experience essential • Must be fluent in
