Summertime in a marginal district
of a city in southern Spain. Tano, a
teenager currently serving a sentence in a juvenile reform center, is
given a 48-hour leave to attend his
brother’s wedding. Together with his
best friend, he plans to enjoy his
48-hour pass to the limit, doing all
the things he is normally prohibited
from doing… Tano’s leave turns out
to be a journey into maturity.
Adaptation of The Life and Opinions
of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman, by
Laurence Sterne. Shandy is narrating his life story as he sees it. But
he’s interrupted by his family and
household, inadvertently revealing
far more about himself than any
autobiography. Then the 1st
Assistant Director calls “Cut!”.
And we see Steve Coogan, the
other actors and crew through the
course of a chaotic evening on set.
L’été dans la banlieue d’une ville du
Sud de l’Espagne. Tano, un adolescent en détention dans un centre
de redressement, se voit accorder
une autorisation de sortie de 48
heures pour assister au mariage de
son frère. Avec son meilleur ami, il
compte bien en profiter pour faire
tout ce qui lui est interdit en temps
normal… La permission se transforme en un passage à la maturité.
Adaptation de Vie et opinions de
Tristram Shandy de Laurence
Sterne. Shandy raconte sa vie telle
qu’il la voit. Mais il est interrompu
par sa famille ou ses domestiques
qui, sans le vouloir, en révèlent bien
plus sur lui qu’aucune autobiographie. Le premier assistant crie alors
« Coupez ! » et Steve Coogan, les
autres acteurs et l’équipe sont filmés au cours d’une soirée de
tournage chaotique.

After a long absence, famous pianist Zetterstrøm returns from New
York to his native Copenhagen. A
perfectionist by nature, he has one
major personal flaw; he has lost the
memory of his past. But when he is
contacted by a messenger from a
mysterious off-limits “zone” in the
middle of the city, he connects with
what made him run away: his love
for the captivating Andrea.
Anna is a quiet woman of thirty, an
irrigation specialist who controls
projects in developing countries.
During one of her visits a female
colleague commits suicide. Anna
finds her, and is under shock. No
one seems to know why that
woman killed herself. Anna realizes
that you can remain unknown even
to those you have most dear.
Après un long exil, Zetterstrøm,
célèbre pianiste concertiste, revient
à Copenhague, sa ville natale. Ce
grand perfectionniste a une imperfection : il a perdu la mémoire.
Quand un étrange messager le
contacte depuis une mystérieuse
« zone » du milieu de la ville, il se
souvient de ce qui l’a fait fuir : son
amour pour la fascinante Andréa.
Anna, trente ans, est une femme
discrète. Spécialiste des irrigations,
elle contrôle des projets dans des
pays en voie de développement.
Lors d’une de ses missions, Anna
découvre le cadavre d’une collègue
qui vient de se suicider. Anna est
très choquée. Personne ne semble
connaître la raison de ce suicide.
Elle réalise que même les êtres
chers peuvent nous rester étrangers.

A filmic and musical interpretation
of the Passion of Joan of Arc.
Johanna, a young drug addict, falls
into a deep coma after an accident.
Doctors miraculously manage to
save her from death’s doorstep.
Touched by grace, Johanna cures
patients by offering her body. The
head doctor is frustrated by her
continued rejection of him and
allies himself with the outraged
hospital authorities.
The Irish equivalent of the Gypsies,
the Travellers are a traditionally
nomadic people. Winnie, a ten-yearold girl, lives with her mother and
several siblings in a rotting roadside trailer in one of Dublin’s abandoned industrial suburbs. Her family
has to confront the law, the housing
authorities and the school bureaucracy, none of which are equipped
to deal with itinerant people.

Johanna, une jeune toxicomane,
tombe dans un coma profond après
un accident. Par miracle les médecins parviennent à la ramener à la
vie. Touchée par la grâce, Johanna
guérit les patients en leur offrant
son corps. Déçu qu’elle le rejette,
le médecin chef s’allie au corps
hospitalier outragé.
Equivalent irlandais des Gitans, les
Travellers sont traditionnellement un
peuple de nomades. Winnie, 10 ans,
vit avec sa mère et ses frères et
sœurs dans un mobile home, dans
une banlieue industrielle abandonnée de Dublin. Sa famille est amenée à se confronter à la justice, aux
autorités immobilières et à la
bureaucratie scolaire : aucune de
ces instances n’est en mesure de
s’occuper des gens du voyage.

On leaving the police training
school, Antoine goes to Paris to join
the second division of the Judiciary
Police. Caroline Vaudieu, who has
returned to the force after conquering alcoholism, selects the little
lieutenant for her crime squad. Full
of enthusiasm, Antoine learns his
job alongside his men. Vaudieu
rapidly becomes attached to this
young man, the same age her
vanished son would now be.

Katrin and Nike live in the same
block of flats and are the best
friends in the world. They spend the
summer in Berlin and their evenings on Nike’s balcony confiding
in each other. Both are awaiting
Prince Charming. Katrin is divorced
and unemployed and lives with her
son. Nike is a home help for old
people. One day she meets a man
but Katrin, still single, has trouble
accepting it.
Katrin et Nike habitent le même
immeuble et sont les meilleures
amies du monde. Elles passent l’été
à Berlin et leurs soirées sur le balcon de Nike à se confier l’une à
l’autre. Toutes les deux attendent le
prince charmant. Katrin, divorcée

Un jour, Nike, qui s’occupe de
personnes âgées, rencontre un

Monika, Tonik and Dasha live in the
suburbs of a Czech city. Monika
works at a supermarket while
awaiting the invitation from her
boyfriend to join him in the US.
Tonik secretly loves Monika. Dasha,
the mother of two children, is slowly losing touch with reality. When
she’s hospitalized for psychiatric
treatment, Monika and Tonik take
over her parenting duties.
Sabina Guzzanti exposes the
Berlusconi government’s restriction
on freedom of speech which provoked the removal of several of Italian
television’s longstanding personalities from the small screen without
reaction by the opposition. She also
recalls the career of her Raiot programme, cancelled from the Rai Tre
schedule after its first emission and
then successfully transferred to the
stage in Rome.
Monika, Tonik et Dasha vivent dans
la banlieue d’une ville tchèque.
Monika travaille dans un supermarché en attendant de rejoindre son
petit ami aux USA. Tonik aime
secrètement Monika. Mère de deux
enfants, Dasha perd peu à peu le
contact avec la réalité. Lorsqu’elle
est admise dans un hôpital psychiatrique, Monika et Tonik prennent ses enfants sous leur aile.

d’expression et provoqué la mise à
l’écart de figures historiques de la
télévision italienne, sans entraîner
de réaction de l’opposition. Sabina
Guzzanti évoque aussi son émission
