1 Représentation permanente de la France auprès de l’Office des Nations unies et des Organisations internationales à Vienne N°4 Lettre mensuelle d’informations sur les échéances de l’Agence Internationale de l’Energie Atomique (AIEA) Décembre 2013 Editorial : Le dernier Conseil des Gouverneurs de l’année s’est achevé fin novembre. Il a validé l’évaluation des activités 2013 de la Coopération technique de l’Agence et adopté son programme pour le cycle biennal 2014-2015, conformément à la recommandation du Comité de l’Assistance et de la Coopération Techniques (CACT), qui s’était tenu auparavant. Il fut également l’occasion pour le Gouverneur de la France auprès de l’AIEA, M. Frédéric Journès, et, Directeur général adjoint de l’AIEA en charge du Département de l’énergie nucléaire, M. Alexander Bychkov, de signer un Arrangement Pratique qui encadrera pour une durée de trois ans la coopération entre l’AIEA et les partenaires français du secteur nucléaire (Instituts de recherche et/ou de formation, industriels nucléaires, etc) dans le domaine de la formation théorique et pratique. A titre d’information, quelques ateliers et réunions techniques seront co-organisés par le Secrétariat de l’AIEA, les prochaines semaines : International Conference on "Small-sized Nuclear Power Plants - the Current Direction of Nuclear Power Development (3-5 décembre, Moscou, voir fichier “Conference announcement for website.docx”); Technical Meeting to Identify Issues and Trends in Operating Experience (3-6 décembre, VIC, Vienne); Interregional training course on emergency preparedness and response (9-13 décembre, VIC, Vienne). Reporting to the Director of the Division of Conference and Document Services, the Section Head leads a professional team in shaping and implementing the programmatic objectives for the Publishing Section. This involves proposing the budget, monitoring the financial plan, and initiating personnel processes.
