LEANDRE 2 exploitation: Strategy Projet ANR - MUSIC Porté par le CNRM – V. Ducrocq Partenaire LATMOS (LATMOS, LSCE, LMD, Univ Basilicata) The overarching objective of Task 1c is to ensure that the water vapor measurements acquired during the SOP 1 of HYMEX are consistent, self-coherent and can be used unambiguously in order to analyse the variability of the water vapor field over the Western Mediterranean Basin. This will be achieved through careful and thoughtful inter-comparison for the IOPs between all water vapor measuring devices involved (LIDARs, RS, GPS, pressurized BL balloons, in situ aircraft). Two objectives: 1. Produce error and bias estimates for the water vapor profiles in the lower and midtroposphere issued from the different water vapor lidars based on an intensive intercomparison effort (lidar-to-lidar, lidar-to-sounding, lidar-to-balloon), 2. Validation of water vapor fields from • AROME WMED forecasts &reanalyses • Meso-NH simulations performed with 2.5-km and 500-m horizontal mesh size Contribute to study of the multiscale interaction between ambient flow and deep convection that governed the HPEs observed during the SOP1, Cas identifiés (travail en cours à l’IPSL): IOP 13 1ère partie (Provence/Côte d'Azur), dimanche 14/10 • ballons: B21 (6UTC) et B22 (8UTC) Mesures in situ •ATR: vol aller (8h30-11h30 UTC) & retour (13h-15h30 UTC) de type HYMEX-1 entre Montpellier et Minorque qui recoupe la trajectoire des ballons LIDAR + mesures in situ • Falcon: vol dans la zone de précipitations, recoupe la trajectoire des ballons pris dans le système convectif (17h-20h30 UTC) RADAR RASTA+ 3 dropsondes: #5-7 • Do128 Mesures in situ basses couches • DLR Falcon dropsondes + LIDAR vent • WALI LIDAR à Minorque • HYDRIX RADAR en bande X • Sondages Marseille fréquence 3-h entre 09 UTC et 00 UTC IOP 2 : Cas Nord-Italien le 12/09 : intéressant pour connaître l'origine des masses d'air humides (rôle du Mistral ?)
