STAMPED STEEL HUB CAP
Protective Coating Change
To: All distributors of STEMCO Wheel End Products
STEMCO is pleased to introduce a change to the stamp steel hub cap protective coating as part of
continuous improvement efforts to advance the hub cap. The improvement will change the protective
coating from yellow chromate to powder metal. The improved powder coated hub caps appearance will
change to black as opposed to the golden color associated with the yellow chromate coating.
The new design change is targeted for release March 2013. This will be a running change in production
of the hub caps and STEMCO part numbers will remain the same. STEMCO hub cap part numbers
affected by the design change are as listed below:

STEMCO se complace en introducir un cambio en el
revestimiento protector del acero de las tapas estampadas,
como parte de los esfuerzos de mejora continua para las tapas
de masa. La mejora cambiará el revestimiento protector de
cromato amarillo, a metal en polvo. La apariencia de las tapas
mejoradas con el revestimiento de polvo cambiará el color a
negro, contra el color oro asociado al revestimiento de cromato
amarillo.
El cambio al diseño nuevo está programado para el 1º de
marzo de 2013. Este será un cambio sobre la marcha en la
producción de tapas, y los números de parte STEMCO seguirán
siendo los mismos. Las tapas STEMCO afectadas por este
cambio de diseño son las siguientes:

Dans le cadre de nos efforts en matière d’amélioration
continue de nos produits, STEMCO est heureuse d’annoncer
le changement du revêtement protecteur des enjoliveurs en
acier estampé. Cette amélioration verra la poudre métallique
remplacer le chromate jaune. Les enjoliveurs seront
dorénavant noirs plutôt que la couleur dorée qu’on associe
au revêtement en chromate jaune.
On compte lancer le nouveau design le 1er mars 2013. Il s’agit
d’un changement progressif à la fabrication des enjoliveurs et
les numéros de pièces STEMCO demeurent les mêmes. Les
numéros de pièces d’enjoliveurs touchés par ce changement
sont les suivants :
