Betina Lou Press kit Betina Lou Press Kit ABOUT BETINA LOU Betina Lou offers timeless, feminine, easy-to-wear pieces. The line blends classic and modern design to create essential pieces with delicate, thoughtful details. Paying homage to the past, Betina Lou’s designs provide a fit and cut that brings together elements of the male wardrobe and history’s female fashion icons. Neutral colours are used along with subtle patterns. Montreal designer Marie-Eve Emond launched Betina Lou in 2009, after over 10 years of experience in the fashion industry. THE CLOTHING All Betina Lou’s clothing is designed and cut in Montreal, then assembled locally by small teams. Our fabrics — each selected with care by the designer — are manufactured primarily in Europe and Japan. Quality, fit and the finishing details are of utmost importance to Betina Lou. The team pays close attention to comfort and functionality, which have become the line’s design principles. Whenever possible, the line uses natural fibres, such as wool, cotton, silk and linen. These fabrics are renewable and biodegradable. Using quality materials to create garments that will last, Betina Lou promotes the idea of responsible consumerism at the heart of the Slow Wear movement, emphasizing quality over quantity.
