After 26 years of loyal and dedicated service, WO Jeffery Palmer will be retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces and Logistics Branch on 26 May 2015. 2.
Jeff started his career in February 1989, attending the CFRS in Cornwallis and then off to CFSAL, CFB Borden for his Cooks trades training. Jeff was then posted to CFB Gagetown to hone his culinary skills. In October 1992, Jeff was posted to 2 RCR and one month later he was on a tour to Yugoslavia. He left 2 RCR in 1995 and was then posted to CFB Borden, where he worked as an IC Shift and IC Rations. While in Borden, Jeff completed a tour at CFS Alert. Jeff met his wife Darlene in Spring 2001 and was posted soon afterwards to 2 Svc Bn, Petawawa. While serving in Petawawa Jeff spent most of his time on various taskings with 3 RCR, including a tour to Afghanistan in 2003. Jeff was posted back to Borden in 2005 with CFSAL as an instructor. While in Borden Jeff was promoted to Sgt and posted to CFSTG. After moving around Borden it was time to go back to Petawawa to join 2 RCHA in 2009. While in Petawawa Jeff was promoted to the rank of WO and off on another deployment to Afghanistan. Jeff was posted back to CFB Borden in 2011 and employed as both a Kitchen Manager and the Ops WO. On 29 July 2013, Jeff was posted to IPSC Borden where he is currently working at Base Transport obtaining training and qualifications on various types of vehicles for his eventual transition into the heavy equipment operator field. 3.
Jeff served overseas to include Yugoslavia 1992, Kabul 2003, and Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2010 and not to forget his domestic deployments to Alert in 2000 and 2006. 4.
Jeff is supported by his wife Darlene and he has four wonderful children, Kevin, Katheryn, Jessica and Dylan. Upon his retirement Jeff will be attending a heavy equipment and truck driving school to augment the training and experience he has gained over the last few months with Base Transport. 5.
WO Palmer will be celebrating his career at an informal DWD ceremony held at Bldg T-­‐
116 at 1330 hrs on 3 June 2015. 6.

Après 26 ans de loyaux et dévoués services, l’Adj Jeffery Palmer prendra sa retraite des Forces armées canadiennes et des Services de la logistique le 26 mai 2015. 2.
L’Adj Palmer commence sa carrière en février 1989 à l’ERFC de Cornwallis et il est ensuite affecté à l’EALFC de la BFC Borden pour y suivre l’instruction de son groupe professionnel -­‐ cuisinier. Il est ensuite affecté à Gagetown pour perfectionner ses compétences culinaires. En octobre 1992, il est affecté au 2 RCR et part un mois plus tard pour la Yougoslavie. Il quitte le 2 RCR en 1995 pour revenir à la BRC Borden, en tant que resp de quart et resp des vivres. Pendant son séjour à Borden, l’Adj Palmer se rend en mission à la SFC Alert. Il rencontre son épouse Darlene au printemps 2001 et il est affecté peu de temps après au 2 Bon Svc, à Petawawa. Alors qu’il est à Petawawa, l’Adj Palmer est affecté à différentes fonctions auprès du 3 RCR, dont une mission en Afghanistan en 2003. Il revient à Borden en 2005, en tant qu’instructeur à l’EALFC. Pendant son séjour à Borden, il reçoit le grade de sergent et est affecté au GISFC. Après différentes affectations à Borden, il retourne à Petawawa en 2009 pour rejoindre le 2 RCHA. Il reçoit son grade d’adjudant à Petawawa et il part pour une autre mission en Afghanistan. Il revient par la suite à Borden en 2011 en tant que gestionnaire de cuisine et d’Adj Ops. Le 29 juillet 2013, l’Adj Palmer est affecté au CISP Borden et il travaille actuellement au Transport de la base pour y suivre l’instruction et obtenir les qualifications nécessaires sur divers types de véhicule dans le domaine de la conduite de machinerie lourde. 3.
L’Adj Palmer a servi à l’étranger en Yougoslavie en 1992, à Kaboul en 2003 et à Kandahar, en Afghanistan, en 2010, sans oublier sont affectation à Alert en 2000 et en 2006. 4.
L’Adj Palmer a toujours pu compter sur l’appui de sa conjointe Darlene et de leurs quatre magnifiques enfants, Kevin, Katheryn, Jessica et Dylan. À sa retraite, l’Adj Palmer souhaite fréquenter une école de véhicules lourds et de camionnage pour suivre davantage de formation et approfondir l’expérience acquise au cours des derniers mois au Transport de la base. 5.
L’Adj Palmer célébrera sa carrière au cours d’une activité de départ dans la dignité informelle qui aura lieu dans le Bât T-­‐116 à 1330h le 3 juin 2015. 6.
