Daniel Schreiner '14, bio
Daniel Schreiner began playing piano at the age of 7. A resident of Winston-Salem, NC, he
studied with Lisa Duerr at the North Carolina School of the Arts’ Community Music School in
Winston-Salem and currently studies with Elizabeth Wright at Williams College. Daniel
performs solo repertoire frequently, participates in a chamber trio, and accompanies his peers in
other performances at and around Williams. He was a past winner of the Berkshire Soloist
Competition and performed at Washington, DC’s Kennedy Center as a finalist of the Eastern
Music Festival’s Piano Competition. Daniel is majoring in music with a performance thesis; in
his free time he enjoys making visual art, exercising occasionally, reading biographies of the
Beatles, and wasting time with friends. He will attend Mannes’s International Keyboard Institute
and Festival this summer and plans to audition for music graduate conservatories this coming
December.
