PLEXIGLAS® Film
Clear 99524
Product Profile:
PLEXIGLAS® Film 99524 is absolutely clear and is based on polymethyl methacrylate with polybutyl
acrylate elastomer. It shows very good weather resistance and has a high-gloss surface without
any surface defects (Class A surface). The film offers very good abrasion resistance combined with
chemical resistance to weak acids and nonpolar solvents.
Applications:
PLEXIGLAS® Film 99524 is suitable for decorative and
protective surfacing of injection molded automotive
components, telecommunications components
and household appliances. The film can be easily
processed by insert molding.
Fabrication:
PLEXIGLAS® Film 99524 can be thermoformed
(160 - 170°C) and lends itself very well to highpressure forming (HPF) around the glass transition
temperature. The HPF process makes it possible to
form very precise inserts.
Moreover, the film can be used
• in all printing processes
• for die cutting with steel rule dies and columnguided tools.
Physical Form:
PLEXIGLAS® Film 99524 is delivered on rolls in a
thickness of 175, 250 and 375 µm. In addition, fine
matte and textured surfaces are available.
On request, the film can be supplied with a hard
coating or a hard coat / antiglare surface.
