The Evian Masters is a unique event. Never before has this conviction that we have all - players, sponsors, the
public, volunteers, guests and organisation staff - shared for many years, seemed as strong as during the 19th
tournament. In the space of one intense week, we relived the past 18 years of ambition, work, enthusiasm and
self-questioning, 18 years of performance and enjoyment, conviviality, sharing, encounters with men and women
committed to creating the greatest women’s tournament in the world. Of course there were wonderful emotions,
as well as an incredible sense of pride of the progress achieved all together since the creation of the event with my
father Antoine in 1994. The history of women’s world golf and most of all its future, more than ever before, continues
to be written in Evian, with the same values of simplicity and high standards. Everything remains the same,
but everything is going to change! This new status as a Major allows us to continue to reinvent ourselves with
a stunning new course, new dates, a new name, new challenges. But that’s for 2013... So let’s not deny ourselves
the pleasure of taking a look back at the great moments of the Evian Masters and rediscovering all those,
who over the years, believed in this tournament and helped it to obtain Major status. A big thank you to everyone
and make sure you’re ready! The adventure of the Evian Championship is just beginning...
L’Evian Masters est un événement unique. Jamais cette conviction que nous partageons tous depuis longtemps,
joueuses, sponsors, public, bénévoles, invités, équipes d’organisation, ne nous a semblé aussi forte que lors de
cette 19e édition. En l’espace d’une semaine intense, ce sont 18 années que nous avons revécues, 18 années d’ambitions, de travail, d’enthousiasme et de remises en question, 18 années de performance et de plaisir, de convivialité,
de partage et de rencontres avec des hommes et des femmes engagés pour créer le plus beau tournoi de golf
féminin au monde. Des belles émotions bien sûr, mais aussi une immense fierté quant au chemin accompli tous
ensemble depuis la création de l’épreuve avec mon père Antoine en 1994. L’histoire du golf féminin mondial
et surtout son avenir vont, plus que jamais, continuer à s’écrire à Evian, avec les mêmes valeurs de simplicité
et d’exigence. Rien ne change, mais tout va changer ! Ce nouveau statut majeur nous permet de continuer
à nous réinventer : un nouveau parcours sublime, une nouvelle date, un nouveau nom, de nouveaux défis.
Mais ça, c’est 2013... Alors ne boudons pas le plaisir de nous replonger dans les grands moments de l’Evian Masters
et de retrouver tous ceux qui, au fil des années, ont cru en ce tournoi et ont contribué à l’élever au rang de Major.
Un grand merci à tous et soyez prêts ! L’aventure de l’Evian Championship ne fait que commencer…

spread its wings at the 2012 tournament. The words express DNA, values and moments. This book beautifully
sums up 18 years of the Evian Masters, now a Major, in images! Past, present, future, all that counts are the
emotions and the people who live both in this magical setting and all over the world. This book is for you, to thank
you for being one of us and enabling us, at the Evian Major Organisation and at the Resort, to make the Evian
Championship grow every day! I take this opportunity to tell all our partners how much we appreciate their loyalty,
friendship, professionalism and energy that has enabled us to be where we are today. See you soon, in September.

Since 1994, the Evian Masters and golfing champions from all over the world have shared something special. A story of mutual
respect and a desire to make it to the top together. The leading women players on the golfing planet have always been our greatest
ambassadors and we are their most devout supporters. Talented, committed, enthusiastic and approachable, they play here
with their hearts, and have for a long time considered the tournament as the “5th Major”. When you listen to them, the Evian
Masters has always been “their” Masters. This deep attachment has been steadfast and the golf spectacle they have offered
over the years has always enthralled the public. They have been treasured allies in what was an exceptional turning point in the
history of the tournament, obtaining Major status.
Depuis 1994, il existe une grande histoire entre l’Evian Masters et les championnes des quatre coins du monde. Une histoire de
respect mutuel, de volonté d’arriver ensemble au sommet. Les meilleures joueuses de la planète golf sont, depuis toujours,
nos meilleures ambassadrices et nous sommes leurs meilleurs supporters. Talentueuses, engagées, enthousiastes, accessibles, elles jouent ici avec leur cœur, ayant accordé depuis longtemps au tournoi le titre de « 5e majeur ». À les entendre,
l’Evian Masters a toujours été “Leur” Masters. Leur profond attachement ne s’est jamais démenti et le spectacle qu’elles
ont offert au fil des années a toujours captivé le public. Des alliées précieuses pour ce qui fut un tournant exceptionnel de
l’histoire du tournoi, l’obtention du statut de Major.

It feels great to see the parachutist coming down with the Korean flag,
especially as it’s the only tournament that does that. At the Olympic Games,
I was very envious when I saw all the medal-winners carrying their flag.
Now it’s my turn and I’m very happy. It will be an honor to play at this
tournament as the defending champion. This tournament deserves to be a
Major and I’m really looking forward to next year.
Voir arriver le parachutiste avec le drapeau coréen : un grand bonheur, surtout
que c’est le seul tournoi qui fait ça. Aux jeux olympiques, j’étais très envieuse
quand je voyais les athlètes médaillés porter leur drapeau. C’est à mon tour
et je suis très heureuse. Ce sera un honneur de jouer ce tournoi en tant que
championne en titre. Ce tournoi mérite de devenir un Majeur et j’attends
l’année prochaine avec impatience.

event make it their own. At the Evian Masters, it’s pink all round... for the players, spectators, guests, sponsors and volunteers
who have taken on the tournament’s own codes, creating a real community. And to salute 18 years of success in style, everyone
sported a “pink touch”, in celebration of the great moments that have made the event what it is, and in anticipation of a future
in the pink as well...
Plus qu’un tournoi, l’Evian Masters est un univers. Son identité est forte, si forte que tous ceux qui aiment l’événement
n’hésitent pas à se l’approprier. A l’Evian Masters, tout le monde voit la vie en rose… Joueuses, spectateurs, invités, sponsors,
