9.30 am Drive out of the
city for a full day of sight
seeing and action. You’ll
get to see some of the
iconic film locations as
used in HBO’s ‘Game of
Thrones’ such as
Bienvenagh, better
known to fans as ‘Dothraki
Sea’. Time permitting, you
might take a Paddle down river while over looking
the peaks at the edge of the Antrim Mountain
Plateau.
Friday 23 September
9.00 am Get on board your Belfast adventure by joining
Dan Lavery, Skål NI’s Vice President and founder of
Longline Surf School. No previous experience is
necessary. Flow down the River Lagan on our unique
5.5 metre long (yes that’s 18 feet long) Stand Up Paddle
Board / Surfboard, whilst learning basic flat-water skills
and techniques. As a small team, you’ll also learn about
the history and heritage of Belfast, and the places
that make it a world-class tourist destination. See our
beautiful capital from a new and exciting angle, enjoying
a bespoke experience exclusively designed for Young
Skal members attending the Skal UK Congress 2016.
12 Noon Return to hotel.
1.00 pm Lunch.
2.00 pm Business to Business Meeting, followed by Q&A.
4.00 pm Tea & Coffee. Wine Reception.
Opportunity to visit exhibition stands of local Food &
Drink providers who are celebrating Northern Ireland
Year of Food & Drink 2016.
7.00 pm Crumlin Road Gaol Also known as HMP Belfast,
‘The Crum’ is the only Victorian era prison remaining in
Northern Ireland and has been out of service since 1996.
Tonight’s visit includes Tour, Drinks Reception and Buffet
Dinner.
10.30 pm Hotel Transfer. Option to stop off at the Hudson
Bar in Belfast City Centre for drinks and entertainment
(Costs not included).
After an action-packed morning, relax with an
outdoor dining experience - a gourmet picnic
and a glass of wine enjoyed in the heart of the
untouched North Coast.
Continue the adventure with intrepid host Dan
‘Dare’. Take in some surfing on stunning Downhill
Beach, 120ft below the cliff top where Mussenden
Temple perches. Built in 1785, the Temple is better
known by GOT fans as ‘Dragonstone’. Adventures
are always better when lead by a local hero.
5.30 pm Arrive back in Belfast in good time for
tonight’s dinner.
7.00 pm National President’s Drinks Reception at
the Radisson Blu Hotel followed by Gala Dinner in
the Titanium Suite and a traditional Northern
Ireland Ceilidh
