12 222 cqma Art actuel mobile app
Art actuel 2-‐22 launches the Art actuel centre-‐ville mobile app Contemporary art in its many forms in the palm of your hand. One tool to find them all. Design and production: Greencopper Publishing Montréal, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 — Contemporary art fanatics can now expand their experience via their smartphone (iPhone or Android) with the new Art actuel centre-‐ville mobile app. Designed and developed by Greencopper Publishing for Art actuel 2-‐22, it’s the essential tool for locating 25 contemporary art exhibition, research and production venues in downtown Montréal. Users can find out what’s on and where at any time, from event programming to exhibition vernissages, and map out personalized itineraries based on their interests and the time they have available. They can also access a GPS-‐enabled interactive map of presentation venues near them. As a bonus, the mobile app also includes an augmented reality module offering a wealth of historical information about cultural sites, art happenings and monuments in the city. Creation of the Art actuel centre-‐ville visual identity, a forest of arrowed lines in vibrant, contrasting colours, was entrusted to graphic design studio Uniform. The mobile app is available for free download directly to devices from the App Store and Android Market, or via these addresses: http://artactuelcentreville.com/ http://www.artactuel2-‐22.com/ A printed map, used in combination with the mobile app, allows users to locate contemporary art sites in downtown Montréal and create their own explorative itineraries. The map is now available free of charge at La Vitrine culturelle, located in the 2-‐22 building at 2 Sainte-‐
Catherine St. E., Montréal. Production of Art actuel centre-‐ville was made possible with financial support from the Department of Canadian Heritage and Greencopper. The poster campaign is by Uniform.
