Les Nouveaux Constructeurs signs a new 30,000 m2 service sector offering
in Cité Descartes – Marne-la-Vallée
On 02 December 2015, during the SIMI trade show, Moïse Mitterrand, Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Les Nouveaux Constructeurs and Nicolas Ferrand, Managing Director of the Marne-laVallée public development authorities, EPAMARNE/EPAFRANCE, signed a contract for the
development of a new "premium" 30,000 m2 service sector programme.
Located in the Champs-sur-Marne municipality, in the centre of Cité Descartes, one of Grand Paris'
defining clusters and a sustainable city business district, this programme includes 25,000 m² of
prestigious office space built to the latest international standards, together with a 5000 m² programme
for the hotel business.
Injecting a new development impetus
This diversified project is ideally located in the immediate vicinity of the RER A Noisy-Champs station
which is also to accommodate the Grand Paris Express lines 15, 16 and 11.
This new service sector offering confirms the emergence of an urban centre to the east of Paris, driven
by an ambitious urban project, which aspires to be:
> open, in accommodating new users, in being tune with the Town, its natural surroundings and
its amenities, and in establishing new links with Grand Paris;
> beneficial to a sustainable city, abounding in tangible and intangible services, to the well-being
of its users and to encouraging value-creation initiatives;
> ingenious, in being able to count a remarkable ecosystem and know-how, stimulating
excellence, partnerships and the emergence of future city demonstrators.
Focused on the concerns of current and future utilisations, including the ability to provide cooperative
spaces, this service sector programme aspires to be flexible and contemporary, able to accommodate
efficient working areas and open to its natural surroundings, stimulating to well-being and able to offer
a high-quality range of services.
This new programme is part of the Les Nouveaux Constructeurs company's development strategy in
Marne-la-Vallée and is a demonstration of the confidence that Cité Descartes and its sustainable city
business district inspires in the Group.
Les Nouveaux Constructeurs has also just started work, again in Cité Descartes, on a new, 14,000 m²,
Effinergie-labelled (RT 2012 -40%), service sector building, which is to be the headquarters of CASDEN
Banque Popular.
