Intended use
Sur les machines-outils, les lubrifiants
réfrigérants sont utilisés pour réduire la chaleur
produite pendant l'usinage. Par le mouvement
rotatif de l'outil ou de la pièce usinée, le liquide
de refroidissement présent est projeté contre la
paroi interne du compartiment de protection ou
contre la fenêtre de contrôle. La visibilité s'en
trouve réduite. ROTOCLEAR est monté sur la
partie interne de la fenêtre de la machine-outil.
La vitre rotative, ou plutôt le rotor de
ROTOCLEAR, expulse le lubrifiant de
réfrigération et les copeaux situés dans le
compartiment vers l'extérieur. La mise en route
et l'usinage sont parfaitement visibles.
Machine tools are used with coolants to
reduce the heat generated during the metal
cutting process. The coolant will be thrown off
due to the rotary movement of the tool or work
piece and adheres to the inside of the
protective enclosure or its viewing window.
Poor visibility from outside is the result
ROTOCLEAR is generally fitted on the internal
side of the existing viewing window of the
machine tool door. The rotary panel of
ROTOCLEAR throws off coolant and chips,
leaving a clear view of the set-up and the
machining process.

Préparation des pièces
Component Preparation
Le rotor est fixé à l'aide d'une vis M10x1.
Conservez le rotor sur une surface propre ou
dans son emballage d'origine. Veillez
impérativement à la propreté.
The disc is fixed with a special M10x1 screw.
Keep the disc on a clean surface or in the original
packaging. Watch for absolute cleanliness when
unpacking the item.

un stimulateur cardiaque. Ne tenez pas les
pièces en contact direct avec votre corps.

A strong annular magnet is located inside the
rotor. Beware of magnetic forces if you wear a
pacemaker. Do not hold any components closely
in front of your body. The minimum distance
between your pacemaker and the rotor should be
more than at least 2 cm.
Opposite polarizations attract and might impact.
Dévissez la vis située au centre et enlevez le
rotor. Ouvrez le couvercle de la boîte de
connexions et desserrez les vis du réducteur
de tension.
Enlevez la vis de fermeture M16 x 1,5.
Reposez les pièces dans l'emballage ou sur
une surface propre et non métallique.
Remove center screw and dismantle the rotor.
Open the terminal box cover and loosen the
screws on the strain relief. Remove screw plug
M16x1.5. Place all parts back into the shipping
container or on a clean and non-metallic surface.

Installation with adhesive flange
L'adhésif affecte les propriétés du
polycarbonate. Collage polycarbonate est
autorisée uniquement avec amorce. Suivez les
instructions d'application.
The adhesive affects the properties of
polycarbonate. Bonding polycarbonate is allowed
only with primer. Follow application instructions.
Appliquez la fixation avec la bride adhésive sur
la face lubrifiée sur toutes les machines
équipées de verre feuilleté.
When the unit is mounted by means of an
adhesive flange on laminated glass, the
installation is performed on the side facing the
lubricant.
Nettoyez soigneusement la vitre à l'aide d'un
produit dégraissant (par ex. de l'isopropanol) et
essuyez avec un chiffon qui ne peluche pas.
La vitre doit être propre, exempte de graisse et
sèche.
Thoroughly clean the machine window,using a
degreasing agent (e.g. IPA), and finish wiping
the window with a white, lint-free cloth. The
window must be clean, free of grease and dry.

surface and aligned properly.

Mark the position and alignment of the flange on
the interior of the window. Remove protective
film from the rear adhesive side of the pocket
segments.
Appuyez fermement l'anneau adhésif contre la
vitre. Préparez le pistolet à colle et exercez
une assez longue pression afin que la colle
soit bien mélangée. Introduisez la colle dans
les alésages par les 10 manchons jusqu'à ce
que la colle ressorte par les petits alésages.
Reproduisez cette opération pour chacun des
10 segments. Figure n° 4a.3
Tightly and evenly press the glueing device onto
the window. To blend the adhesive, prepare the
glue gun and press some epoxy glue through the
mixing tube. Now slowly press the glue into the
bore between the two pins until the glue leaks
out of the check bore holes. Repeat the process
for all 10 sectors. Fig.4a.3
Attendez au moins 6 heures, la colle aura alors
durci à 90%. Coupez l’excédent de colle et
nettoyez les surfaces internes et externes au
niveau de la bride.
Wait at least 6 hours until the glue is about 90%
cured. Cut off the residual glue and thoroughly
clean the surfaces inside and outside of the
flange.
Placez le LOGO à l’horizontal et montez le
boîtier. Coupez l'excédent de colle et montez
le boîtier. Serrez les vis M5x20 Tx15 fournies
avec un couple de 1,1 Nm. Figure n°4a.4
Align the LOGO in a horizontal position and
mount the housing. Tighten the enclosed M5x20
tx15 screws to a torque of 1.1 Nm. Fig. 4a.4
Veillez au bon positionnement du joint
d'étanchéité.
Verify that the seal ring is properly seated.
Enlevez le(s) film(s) de protection de la fenêtre
et collez la fenêtre avec précaution sur le côté
opposé.
Remove protective film from the face plate and
carefully affix it to the machine window opposite
of the Rotoclear.

Screw-mounted Installion
La fixation par cercle de perçage est utilisée
pour les fraiseuses et les centres de meulage
avec des fenêtres en polycarbonate (PC).
An installation with a circle of holes is used on
milling machines with polycarbonate windows
(PC).
Le perçage de la vitre en polycarbonate et le
serrage des brides modifient la courbure de la
vitre. L'énergie adsorbé de particules
étrangères frappant le panneau peut être
inférieure à celle d'une fenêtre de la machine
non modifiée. Après une longue durée de vie
utile prêter attention aux fissures et la
nébulosité de la fenêtre de la machine.
Drilling holes in polycarbonate discs and
securely mounting flanges will change the
bending characteristics of the polycarbonate
window. The energy absorbed by the
machines window flying parts can be less than
that of an unmodified window. After long
useful life pay attention to cracks and
cloudiness of the machine window.
Le montage à l'aide d'un cercle de perçage ne
doit pas être employé pour les tours
conformément à la norme ISO 23125.

Do not perform a hole circle installation on
turning lathes as per ISO 23125. Proceed
according to chapter 4a.
Percez un cercle dans la vitre en
polycarbonate aux dimensions données cidessous. Nettoyez soigneusement les faces
interne et externe de la vitre avec de
l'isopropanol. Fig. 4b.1
Drill holes into the polycarbonate using the
dimensions shown below.
Thoroughly clean the interior and exterior
surfaces of the window with IPA. Fig. 4b.1
Placez le LOGO à l’horizontal et montez le
boîtier. Depuis l'extérieur, placez l'anneau de
fixation dans les alésages et depuis l'intérieur,
enfoncez le stator sur les chevilles. Serrez les
vis M5x20 Tx15 à l'aide d'un couple de 1,1Nm

Un dépassement du couple peut endommager

Align the LOGO in a horizontal position and
mount the housing. Place the mounting
adapter into the bores and fit the stator onto
the bolts from the interior. Tighten the M5x20
Tx15 screws to a torque of 1.1Nm. Fig. 4b.2.

Montage électrique
Electrical Installation
L'installation électrique ne doit être réalisée
que par du personnel autorisé et qualifié.
For electrical installations seek the help of
skilled experts.
Sortez le câble du boîtier de raccordement.
Fixez le câble de raccordement dénudé en son
extrémité au serre-câble et vissez-le au flexible
de protection. Posez le raccord et serrez au
maximum d' ¼ de tour. L'étanchéité entre le
raccord et l'anneau est assurée. Maintenez le
raccord préalablement serré en branchant le
flexible de protection.
Pull the cable out of junction box. Fix the
stripped end of the cable to the strain relief and
screw into the protective tube. Only position
the adapter and tighten it to max. ¼ turns. The
adapter is o-ring sealed. Hold up adapter when
connecting the protecting tube.
Attention ! Si vous utilisez d’autres raccords ou
si le montage n’est pas correct, le boîtier peut
casser.
Attention! In case of using a different adapter
or in case of incorrect mounting the housing
may break.
Reliez les extrémités des câbles aux dominos
et veillez à la polarisation de L1 et L2. (marron
+ bleu -)
Connect the wire ends to the luster terminal
and watch the polarity of L1 and L2. (brown +
blue -)
Fixez le câble au boîtier à l'aide d'un serrecâble.
Fix the cable with the strain relief to the
housing.
Fermez la boîte à bornes avec les vis prévues
à cet effet (couple de 1,1 N.m) et veillez à ce
qu'aucun câble ne soit coincé ou pincé.
Close the junction box with the screws
enclosed (torque 1.1 Nm) and make sure that
no wire be clamped or crushed.
Fixez le câble (via un guide-câble et
l'installation fixe) à l'armoire électrique et reliez
l’appareil à la commande de la machine.
Fix the cable (with cable drag and fixed
routing) to the control box and link the unit with
the control system.
Pour garantir une étanchéité optimale,
ROTOCLEAR doit être relié à la durée de mise
en route de la machine et fonctionner en
continu.
For waterproof reasons make sure that the
ROTOCLEAR device always be connected
with the runtime of the engine.

Dans la zone d'usinage de la machine-outil, le
câble est protégé contre d'éventuels dommages
par un flexible ou un tube. De l'air est envoyé à
l'intérieur du dispositif par ce flexible.
L'alimentation en air empêche l'infiltration de
lubrifiant réfrigérant dans l’appareil. La pression
d'alimentation doit être ajustée en fonction des
différentes longueurs des conduits, flexible de
protection et tube à air, et de leur section. Fig.
6.2
The cable is routed through a protective tube or
cable conduit inside the cabinet. In addition, air
is supplied through this protective tube to the
interior of the machine. The sealing air prevents
coolant entry and, therefore, is inevitable to the
system. Due to different cable lengths, the
protective tube and air supply and their cross
sections, the feed pressure must be adjusted.

Si vous utilisez de l'eau dure, il pourrait incruster
sur la surface interne du rotor. Éliminer la croûte
avec un couteau ou un résidu sans grattoir.

Augmentez la pression de 0,5 bar et vérifiez-la au
centre du dispositif. Remontez la fenêtre rotative.
Vérifiez le fonctionnement mécanique en rotation
libre du système et mettez-le en marche.
Electrical installation work is only permitted by
trained electricians.
When using hard water may be in the gap area,
a crust forming on the inside of the rotor.
Eliminate the cake with a knife or a scraper
residue-free.
Dirt or chips may be embedded in the gap
between the stator and rotor.
Clean the area surrounding the magnetic fields.
You may try using an ordinary magnetic clamp
from your office.
Do not place the rotor on a dirty workbench, but
use a clean cardboard surface instead.
If there is significant chip exposure and the
system malfunctions repeatedly, we
recommend increasing the internal pressure.
Increase the feed pressure by max. 0.5 bar and
check the velocity pressure in the connecting
box. Reinstall the rotating window. Verify the
mechanical free rotation of the rotor by hand.
Switch on the power.
La vitre rotative s'arrête et se remet en marche
après un court instant !
Le moteur possède une fonction de protection
intégrée. Lorsque le moteur supporte une charge
importante et chauffe, une sécurité le coupe et le
remet en marche peu de temps après.
Mettez de nouveau le système hors tension.

sur la fenêtre rotative. Vérifiez si la fenêtre frotte
contre un objet.
Surveillez l'échauffement important au centre.

The motor has an internal safety function. If the
motor overheats because of a heavy load, the
overload function cuts power and switches back
on after a short period of time.
Make sure that the electrical power is off.
Do not point the coolant directly at the rotating
window. Inspect around the rotating window - it
may be rubbing against something.
Note overheating in the center.

Le ROTOCLEAR est muni d'un système d'aération
qui instaure un échange d'air entre les différentes
chambres [système de pression interne]. En cas
de traînées, il est possible que de l'huile provenant
de l'air lubrifié se dépose sur la vitre. En cas
d'accumulation d'eau, il est possible que l'anneau
du boîtier ne soit plus étanche.
Débranchez le système, enlevez le rotor et le
câble d'alimentation électrique. Retirez les 10 vis
de fixation situées sur la face avant du boîtier.
Retirez le boîtier (stator) avec précaution et
nettoyez soigneusement la vitre et le boîtier.
Nettoyez la vitre de la machine (face interne) et s’il
s’agit d’une fixation adhésive, vérifiez la stabilité
de la bride. Remontez le boîtier et veillez à exercer
la même pression en enclenchant l'anneau
d'étanchéité contre la vitre. Ensuite suivez la
procédure de mise en route.
10.5
La fenêtre rotative est sale ou entartrée, la
visibilité est mauvaise.
La fenêtre rotative est une pièce d'usure, elle est
facilement interchangeable. Éteignez le système et
lorsqu'il est à l’arrêt, démontez-le. Selon le degré
de saleté, nettoyez la surface à l'aide d'un racloir
et pour lustrer, utilisez par ex. un nettoyant pour
plaques vitrocéramiques ou encore un nettoyant à
vitres.
Remontez le rotor et mettez le dispositif sous
tension.
Si la vitre est fortement salie par des copeaux
d'aluminium, vous pouvez conserver une vitre de
rechange propre en réserve.

cleaned replacement rotor in stock for
preventive maintenance purposes.

The ROTOCLEAR window develops streaks
or a puddle forms between the machine
window and ROTOCLEAR.
ROTOCLEAR is equipped with an integrated
forced ventilation airflow between the individual
cavities that establishes an airflow [internal
pressure system]. Streaks can form when oil
from the compressed and oiled air supply is
deposited on the window. A puddle may
indicate a leak between the housing and the
seal ring.
Switch off electrical power, remove rotor and
electrical wire. Remove the screws (10times)
on the front face of the housing. Carefully
remove the housing (stator) and thoroughly
clean the window and housing. Clean the inside
of the machine window and check the adhesion
of a glued flange (when appropriate). Reinstall
the housing and verify the uniform contact
pressure of the seal ring against the glass.
Then follow the startup procedure.
Dispose the unit as electronic scrap or return it
to us with the reference scrap and no
prepayment.
